Description:Klickitat Valley Health is excited to announce the opening of our brand new, beautiful Wellness and Therapy Center next month! We are now accepting applications for a casual Physical Therapy Aide to provide coverage during times of high volume, vacations, leaves, etc. The Wellness and Therapy Center will be open Monday-Friday, 7:30am to 5:00pm.
Duties:The PT Aide primarily assists the Physical Therapist in preparing the patient and the care area for the therapy/treatment to be given to the patient. The PT Aide demonstrates excellence in customer service during interactions with patients, families and other customers and works collaboratively with colleagues and departments throughout the organization to provide optimal outcomes for our patients in a compassionate, professional, ethical and knowledgeable fashion. May provide necessary routine clerical support for the Physical Therapy Unit, if needed.
Qualifications:In order to provide an outstanding experience for all of our patients and visitors, candidates must have exceptional customer service skills, positive communication style and the ability to problem solve effectively. Multi-tasking with a high degree of accuracy is essential to providing safe, high quality patient care. Experience working as a Physical Therapy Aide is preferred, but not required. On the job training is also available. A strong familiarity with computer programs including the Microsoft Suite is essential. Candidates must be able to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per day and lift, push, pull or carry up to 50lbs. High school diploma or GED, required.Current BLS Certification required.
