Description:Klickitat Valley Health is now accepting applications for a Revenue Cycle Analyst. This position offers 4 days a week Mon-Fri with a total of 32 hours per week.

Klickitat Valley Health is a rural, critical-access hospital located in scenic Goldendale, Washington only two hours from Portland along the breathtaking Columbia River Gorge. Goldendale, population 3,500, is nestled among the rolling Simcoe Hills with gorgeous views of Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams. Hiking, biking, fishing, hunting, skiing, kayaking, and windsurfing are world-class with the Columbia River and untouched wilderness just minutes away. Locals enjoy the cultural offerings of Hood River and
Portland, as well as the dozens of wineries that dot the landscape throughout the Columbia River Gorge.

Oversees payor contracting, underpayment analysis, reimbursement audits, charge master maintenance and compliance, charge capture, pricing strategies. Ensures that all appropriate billing charges are being captured, documented, charged and reimbursed for the assigned department. Plans and performs advanced price modeling activities for major service lines. May perform special project assignments with respect to applicable regulations and the overall revenue cycle. Credentials providers with the major insurance carriers. Manages credits on patient accounts and create estimates upon request of patients.
Duties:• Complete charge master maintenance, compliance, and pricing strategies and recommendations.
• Complete charge capture audits, ensuring charges are being captured, documented, and charged.
• Performs financial/statistical analyses related to revenue cycle matters.
• Manage credit balances
• Prepare estimates for services and deliver information to patient in a timely manner
• Implement patient friendly billing guidelines.
• Monitor and credential providers with the insurance carriers.
• Review payor contracts for accuracy and underpayment analysis by performing audits..
• Facilitates effective relations with payors and providers related to managed care plans.
• Assists with establishing value-based contracts
• Preparation of Adhoc reports
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business or a related field required.

• Demonstrated proficiency in revenue cycle concepts, terms, definitions, and metrics.a
• Familiarity with billing cycle including ability to interpret EOB’s and understanding of payment methodologies.
• Ability to work independently and meet time-sensitive deadlines
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking and time management skills with ability to anticipate tasks and prioritize assignments.
• Ability to draft professional correspondence, forms, and reports
• Ability to deliver prepared information to audience (mostly patients) in an easy-to-understand manner
• Requires critical thinking skills, ability to make good decisions, listen and accept advice from others, demonstrate maturity and good judgement.
• Promote/deliver excellent customer service to both internal (employees and management) and external customers (patients, auditors, and other third parties).
• Perform various sensory requirements such as: vision, touch, manual dexterity, fine motor skills, etc to perform tasks using computers, computer screens, key boards, copiers, faxes, and other office equipment.
• Demonstrate positive and effective interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, vendors, visitors, etc.
• Maintain a calm and composed manner in emergency/stressful situations, taking appropriate action as necessary.
• Demonstrates attention to detail, follows oral and written instruction precisely, and maintains a high degree of accuracy, risk of error could result in significant monetary loss and hardship for KVH.
• Work in a stressful/demanding environment and take appropriate action to ensure accurate and high quality of work produced, ability to cope with physical demands of the job.
• Experience with using everyday computer electronic technology tools (e.g., email, spreadsheets, word processing, voicemail, internet/intranet) and organize and store work-related data. Plus calculator, copier, fax, etc.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word; advanced Microsoft Excel skills essential.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, and general math skills.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
